Mercy, Father

In every spiritual generation of people, there are those who are growing in their understanding of spiritual things toward being Christ-like, or being like sons/daughters of God. As their ego, pride and self-absorption lessens, they become more divine/spiritual manifesting the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, temperance) toward themselves and others. Against such there is no law. (Where there is the law, there is guilt and retribution...you enact both on yourself. Only forgiveness and love release you from your own self torment.) The sonnet is asking for mercy/grace to bring potential sons/daughters of God to the next spiritual level along the journey toward knowing God's love more completely.

                        Mercy, Father

Oh mercy, Father, mercy for Christ sons!
Yet unrenewed you made them to reveal
The Glory of your Ark of salvation
The light, the love, the truth of being sealed*.
Redemption, resurrection is your gift
To all you've foreordained to be the ones,
Through whom the Word be spoken to uplift,
The chosen vessels still in Babylon.**
The fruit that grows within your sons brings life
The seeds we're hearing spoken overwhelm
With truth and light the darkness, Hell and and Night.
To birth in fulness Christ, the Ark, the Healm!
So mercy, Father, grace bestow on them,
Until the sword*** delivers them from men!

*sealed:  marked and protected for God
**Babylon: place of carnality (ego, pride, lies, sham life)
***sword:  Word of God with Power to free
